Self catering French holidays in a beautiful cottage in the courtyard of a working Limousin cattle farm.                                                        

The Cottage.

The cottage was built about two hundred years ago from granite quarried on the farm and has been painstakingly restored to retain many traditional features with beamed ceilings, granite flag floor and a typical Creuseois hearth. It is part of the complex of buildings, some medieval, forming a fine courtyard around a central fountain.

It is completely self-contained with a private garden and outside seating/eating under a splendid old chestnut tree. Downstairs is a comfortable 17 M² lounge, fully fitted kitchen/dining room of 22 M² and an 8 M² double bedroom. An oak staircase leads to two more large double bedrooms (18.5 and 12 M²) and a bathroom with bath and shower. All bedrooms have washhand basins. There is full electric central heating and hi-tech insulation ensures that the rooms stay fresh and cool in Summer.

The cottage sleeps three couples comfortably, one bedroom being large enough for a family of four if required.

All bedding and towels are provided and sheets and towels are changed weekly.

The views are superb, looking out over our meadows to one of our woods beyond.

There is UK radio and television (by satellite) for those who cannot bear to leave the present behind.

We have lots of toys, a cot, high chair and baby bath if needed.
